Fourth in a 2006 series on prophecy that does not need to be added to Scripture.

Prophecy that communicates the words of God has divine authority. One big issue is deciding whether a prophecy is a divine communication. Another is what "divine authority" means.

LoveHeart

Love is patient, love is kind. (NIV)

Love suffers long and is kind…(NKJ)

Love never gives up.

Love cares more for others than for self. (Mess)

YellowFlower

Once upon a time there was a princess called Gloria. Gloria was a lovely girl who was dearly loved by everyone, especially her father and mother, the King and Queen.

One day, Princess Gloria fell ill. The doctors were called and they came to treat her. After a number of whispered conversations among themselves, the doctors went to talk to the King and Queen.

“Your Majesties,” they said, “Princess Gloria is gravely ill. We are not able to do anything for her and it is very likely that she will die.”

“No!!!” shouted the King, and the Queen gasped with horror.

“There is one thing that might save the princess,” the doctor’s continued. “There is a flower growing in the forest of Ooga Booga. If someone fetched that flower and brought it back here, we could mix it into a medicine that we believe would make Princess Gloria completely well.”

For me, the three Bible versions above express three ways of understanding the first “love quality” Paul speaks about.

First,

Kylie was not the only one who was inspired by the carwash. As soon as Jack got home he started working on this.
