30 Day Colouring Challenge 001

Hi there.  It's not Spring here....... but you would think so by the following colouring offerings.  Lets inspect the insect(s)....

Day 10 Kylie

We decided to break out the stencils on day 10.  Kylie coloured this Kaszazz stencil using Distress inks and a ink blending tool.  The 'Bee' is really a stamped beetle.  Later we found a cute fuzzy bee stamp in our stash, which we will stamp, fussy cut and mount on top.  The sentiment was a stencil also.  Love the colours she used.

Day 11 Kylie

Spring themes roll on with these Kaszazz diecut butterflies and dragonflies coloured gorgeously with Distress inks and a blending tool again.  Kylie has some more plans for this, but I'm not sure what.

Day 10 Paula

Same butterflies, different technique.  On day 10 I coloured these using the only 2 Distress paints I own, and a Brushed pewter Distress stain.  I made those big dots using my Kaszazz Dots stencil.  It was fun to play.

Day 11 Paula

Even though this looks a little bit like curtain material.... I like it. I repeat stamped the 2 flower images (see, more Spring themes) on watercolour paper.  This was so I could wet the whole paper, and then drop in Distress ink colour (from pens and ink pads) mixed on my craft sheet with water and Perfect Pearls.  This is a great technique to use with heat embossing also.... contains the colour within the image a lot better.  I've used this a few times, but originally I saw it over at Jennifer McGuire Ink.  She does some great video tutorials.

Anyhoo.... hope you enjoyed that little Spring burst.  Certainly the weather is cooling down around here, and making life a LOT more pleasant.  See you in a couple of days.
